General Federation of Women's Club - Arizona (GFWC-AZ)

General Federation of Women's Club-Arizona is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
Founded in 1890, the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC)-one of the world's oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organizations - is well into its second century of volunteer service in communities throughout the United States and the world.

In 1901, Arizona was one of the remaining territories within the United States of America, and even though our Arizona territory pioneer women affiliated with the General Federation of Women's Clubs officially on November 18, 1901, we were not totally recognized as a "state" affiliate until we actually became the 48th State of the Union in 1912.

Visit the different links on this site to learn more about GFWC and the groups that make up the structure of GFWC at the state level, district, and club levels.
